When I started in this industry over twenty years ago, I learned what it meant to serve a community from some of the very best.
For more than two decades, I had the privilege of serving as National Sales Director for Global Travel Network, a cornerstone of the Draper community. GTN wasn't just a travel company — it was woven into the fabric of this valley. The partners who built it believed in giving back: supporting local families, donating to the community, and showing up for their neighbors year after year. They taught me that a business is only as good as the trust it earns and the people it serves.
After the passing of two of those beloved partners, GTN closed its doors. But the values they stood for didn't have to end there. I founded Ascend Vacation Group to carry that legacy forward — to keep serving Utah families with the same honesty, care, and community spirit that made GTN special.
The vacation industry doesn't always have the best reputation, and honestly, sometimes that reputation is earned. High pressure, hidden fees, fast talk — I've seen it all, and I've never wanted any part of it. So we built Ascend to be different. We lead with education, not pressure. We publish our terms openly. We answer the phone. And we treat every family the way I'd want my own to be treated.
My goal is simple: to spend the rest of my career changing the way people view the vacation industry — one happy member at a time. Every family that travels somewhere they never thought they could afford, every member who tells a friend they were treated honestly, is proof that it can be done the right way.
